THE NUMBER THE WORKFORCE HAS GROWN TO IN ONE YEAR

Servest Group is a high-growth and fast-paced facilities management provider. Servest’s sales have soared from £30m in 2009 to £250m in 2015, while its workforce has grown from 15,271 to around 18,000 in just one year.

“Magenta is such a great company to work with because they’re enthusiastic, flexible, approachable, but more importantly they get the job done. They have got us into so many publications in such a short space of time”

Since 2011 when Magenta started working with Servest, the company has acquired several businesses across a range of service-related areas, including pest control, catering, security and energy efficiency. Magenta’s PR activity has tracked Servest’s growth. Servest approached Magenta in summer 2011 following the appointment of a new group corporate development director. Servest has a strong customer service ethic, but was not (yet) well known within the facilities sector. All that changed when Magenta started working with the business on a retainer basis on a range of PR activities.

Servest is now positioned as a leading service provider and has enjoyed consistent and extensive coverage in the leading FM publications including FM World, P&FM, FMJ, i-FM.net and Tomorrow’s FM. Servest has also enjoyed excellent coverage in the trade press across other service lines. In the catering press, Servest has been featured in The Caterer, B&I, Hospitality and Catering, Cost Sector Catering and Eat Out Magazine. In the security press, Servest has been covered in Professional Security, Security Newsdesk and infologue.com. And in the cleaning press, Servest has been covered in Tomorrow’s Cleaning, Cleaning Matters, Cleaning & Maintenance, Cleaning Hub and European Cleaning Journal, to name a few.

Magenta has also secured coverage for Servest in the regional press. Servest’s head office is in Bury St Edmunds where and we have secured coverage for Servest across all of the local Bury press including East Anglian Daily Times (Web), Eastern Daily Press, Bury Mercury, Bury Free Press and Business East Monthly. Other coverage has come from sectors as diverse as HR, health and safety, construction and finance. Titles have included People Management, Business Weekly, Merger Market, Tomorrow’s Health & Safety, H&V News, Construction News, Building, Works Management, Plant Engineer and Risk UK, and more.

Magenta has also supported Servest with crisis PR, industry awards entries, speaker opportunities at key events, marketing collateral including comprehensive brand guidelines, copywriting and editing and social media. Magenta continues to work closely with Servest to proactively develop the company’s presence across key media and to deliver related services.
